Our ministry with adults at First Presbyterian  Church is designed to guide us towards maturity in Christ in character, in knowledge of the Scriptures, in community, and in service. If you are a person exploring the claims of Jesus for the first time or a seasoned follower of Christ there is a small group, a community, a course of study, an opportunity to serve for you. You can explore the many possibilities.

Spending the year in God’s Word

The Bible is the most important book in history because it is God's Word and it’s our way of getting to know God. Your Adult Ministry Team is inviting you to read your Bible in 2011.

We are providing two reading plans. The first plan is Our Year in the Word. With this plan you can read the entire Bible, all 66 books, the entire Old Testament and the New Testament in one year! An average reader can do this in less than a half an hour each day, most in 20 minutes.

The second reading plan is Spending a Year with Jesus, which will take you through just the New Testament and each daily passage can be read in 10 minutes. Though the daily reading time may seem short for both of these plans,  the effect of being in God’s Word daily will have an eternal effect!

Women’s Ministry

We are active women who enjoy spending a weekend away for a time of refreshment, discovering opportunities to meet new friends, gathering for fellowship and exploring our faith. We are women all of ages, interests yet have a common bond in our Christian faith.

Presbyterian Women meet monthly in small groups called Circles from September to May. The 4th Tuesday of the month women gather at 10:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall for a group Bible study, luncheon and program. Look on our church calendar for updates.

Wednesday Morning Women’s Bible Study

Women of all ages gather in the Fireside Room for a Women’s Bible study. We start at 9:15 a.m. and try to conclude by 10:30 a.m. We are presently studying a variety of passages.  Together we ask and answer questions, read scripture, pray and have a great time of chatting with one another. All women are welcome. These classes are led by Gretchen Richardson, the Director of Congregational Life. If you have any questions or you would like to have the lessons emailed to you, click HERE to contact Gretchen.
